If you don’t already know, a membership website is a place where you can gather a group of users that are all interested in a specific topic or area of learning, and build content that is both valuable and profitable.
Good membership sites allow ease of use in all areas, full functionality when it comes to billing users (unless you wanted to provide the membership free, which is also an option), and a place that users will be able to easily learn the information they are interested in.
Before I launched my first membership site (I actually have a few different membership sites, all in different niches) I looked around for a long time to find the right platform. There are a few good ones out there. One of those I looked at was called “Member Gate”.
I looked at it for a while and for one thing simply thought it was too messy looking. The right look and feel of a site is important to me and I can usually tell if something will work for me, based on the initial look.
The second thing I found with the Member Gate membership site platform was that it was somewhere around $5000 to get started with it! I thought, forget that and kept looking…
I found a few more out there, but when I stumbed on Online Groups I was sold…
It is only $99 per month which is easily recouped with just a couple users and offers some awesome functionality.
